What is the difference between roller and holland blinds
Does anybody know what the difference is between roller blinds and holland blinds? I'm kind of confused because to me they look the same. Also, I'm thinking of getting one of the above to dress our sliding doors. I saw a product which I think is called dual roller blinds whereby one blind is for privacy but see through and the other blind is for blockout.
I was just wondering if anybody has dual roller blinds and if they are any good? Lastly, we are going to install plantation shutters for all windows in our house other than the sliding doors. What have people done to dress their sliding doors? Not a big fan of curtains or vertical blinds either. Personally, I also see no real difference in a roller blind or Holland blind. Do you have children????
The duel roller blind will be a nightmare for you if you do! I did a full reno on a holiday cabin down the coast, nothing but the best went into the Honeymoon suit!!! NOT my idea I might add, and defiantly not holiday user friendly!! Have a good think about the duel blinds for a main door. Not only do you have one blind to contend with getting up or down you have two….
It will be a real pain!!! They are great for windows, but they would not be my pick for a sliding door. By the way you can get them from other window dressing suppliers not just Luxaflex!
Hi Michelle, Thanks for your reply. Really appreciate it. And glad you enjoy my blog as much as I enjoy putting it together. Anyhoo, we don't have children yet and you made think or reminded me that those cords aren't very kid friendly. The panel glides were my other option.
Looks like I'll probably going with that. I was sitting in the car on the way home trying to think of what two colours I would use if I were to get the dual blinds. That did my head in - BAD! Roman blinds come in a wide range of colors and fabrics. The soft and elegant fabric such as silk are available in a wide range of colors would give your home a modern and sophisticated look. Great article! Thanks for sharing such amazing post with us. Also they are more durable and cost effective.
